Just noticed that the Cyborg RAT 7 mouse has a Precision aiming mode which I would find very useful.

Basically it as a button you hold down which lowers the mouse sensitivity for accurate aiming.

My question is can one of the side buttons on my Deathadder be programmed to do the same.

I don't really want to buy a new mouse as very happy with the one I have, however I am very keen on this feature.

Thanks

Im sure the razer mice have 'on-the-fly' sensitivity setting that can be setup to use the side buttons or scroll wheel. Not used it myself but I noticed it in the razer config utility.

I believe that's only for the button underneath.

I was hoping to set it up so while the button is held down the sensitivity would be lowered and then reset when the button is released rather than switching between profiles as there is a bit of lag when doing that.

Edit: Actullay you are right, just having a fiddle with the settings now but doesn't seem to lower things much if at all.

It looks as though it's not working because the drivers aren't installed properly. The mouse shows as HID compliant mouse in device manager so I guess that is why.

Edit: The drivers are now installed properly but can't see a way to set the feature I want in the driver panel. On the fly sensitivity means having to use the scroll wheel to lower and raise sensitivity so not suitable for a FPS and switching profiles is just too slow.
