Is the double click issue the darned annoying one where it right-clicks kind of (brings up properties or something) instead of double clicks?
IIRC you need to update the firmware on a 32-bit machine, which is annoying as most enthusiasts are on 64-bit now.
EDIT: Just tried it on Win 7 x64, and after a few scary minutes of nothing whatsoever, it failed. I also noticed it failed to install a driver too.

Not sure man - for me it was a double click left button issue... But either way its a joke there is no 64 firmware updater. Even though it says 'supports 64bit win7.
I guess that didn't refer to the updater then???
So why put it in at all!
I'm not sure. There have only been 2000 and something downloads, and nobody seems to have said they've installed it successfully yet. If I had a stable 32-bit PC (rather than junk ones), I'd try that now. I don't think using a VM would work, and I can't be bothered to install a 32-bit OS right now. The problem only affects me once a week or so.
My scroll wheel is quite sensitive, but I do have a double click problem. The only scroll wheel issue is that sometimes it scrolls a few lines when I just touch it, but usually I've moved it a tiny bit. It would be fine if it always scrolled once you reached the next 'notch' if you like.
I'm not sure on the 32-bit only, but I strongly suspect that is related to the problem, as all previous razer firmware updates have required a 32-bit OS, and this is the first that says it doesn't, which means it's either a mistake or a teething problem.

Yes, Similar to my scrollwheel issue only, When playing BF2 and trying to cycle through weapons it's an absolute lottery. So you have a sensitive scrollwheel too, I was going to RMA mine, Maybe thats just the way they are ?
It does seem that these 'notches' are not much practical use.
I might take my mouse and update the FW on a 32bit laptop today.
Working fine for me, installed the latest driver then went and did the firmware, all working great here.
Mind this was a clean install all i had before was the default windows drivers.
Curious. There aren't many complaints on the web either, only a handful. I might try unplugging some other USB devices first in case it's screwing it up.
EDIT: I see they have recently updated the driver version too. I'll install that and try again, might be a secret fix in there somewhere.

My Deathadder still has the double click problem even after firmware upgrade, using my SS Kinzu right now and no problems whatsoever.
OK guys, I found the problem with it not installing on Win 7 x64. It looks as though the ver 2.00 driver doesn't include the required driver for firmware flashing. As I suspected, the v2.01 driver appears to have this, and I just installed the 2.01 driver and then 1.31NDC firmware without any problems, tops!
If you use the mouse at high sensitivity I really recommend the NDC firmware. It's made the mouse even more accurate for me than before. I used to miss links when clicking and sniping in games sometimes was hard to move diagonally perfectly well. Now the link clicking at least is perfect, haven't gamed yet but I'm sure it'll be an improvement. I always use the mouse on the most sensitive setting (without acceleration.).
