Hey guys, but i was just wondering what the difference between Razer DeathAdder Respawn and Razer DeathAdder. I'm actually confused if there is even a difference.

Thanks guys

I had the original for a couple of years but the little micro switches under the left and right clicks wore down/rounded off. It meant the button clicks weren't always precise which meant I could be playing CSS and go to fire and it wouldn't which was a real pain.

I had to buy a respawn to replace it about 2 weeks ago. It's exactly the same mouse...weight...feel etc just the sensor which is improved.

If anything the left and right clicks feel a little smoother and not as noisey/clicky and the braiding on the cable seems a bit better. DPI wise I tried it at the full 3500dpi and I find it way to fast to do anything so currently have it set back like the original.

I've tried laser mice like the CM sentinel in the past but just coudln't get on with it. It didn't feel as comfy and being a laser I found the tracking quite bad depending on the surface (too many new mice these days are laser) It also seemed to jump all over the place when just clicking. Nice thing with the deathadder is the fact it's infrared and just works on pretty much any surface. The deatheadder feels very nice to use and I find it similar to the famous logitech mx518 in terms of comfort, feel and tracking/sensitivity.

With regards to old or new "respawn", get the new one from OCuK as right now they even have a free boogie bug mat with it! I missed out on that though! :(

Look up dpi in reference to a mouse.

Personally, >1800 dpi isn't important to me. But it may be to you. If I save a 5er going 1800 then I would.

I've done the same 3500 dpi is way to fast only have to move the mice a touch and it shoots across the screen.

I recently got the respawn comin from a 518, amazing mouse and works well with boogie!

I do t use 3500 dpi tho way way to fast I'm a low sense gamer so 1800 + 1000hz is all u need! Just remember to get the latest firmware and mouse drivers when u eventually get it. It improves the laser on the mouse quiet a bit!

The mouse will shoot across the screen if you don't drop the sensitivity in the windows control panel as you up DPI. It gives you a more accurate representation of movement. Which has it's pros and cons :s

Love the deathadder, had both versions now onto the respawn using it with a Roccat Sota surface.

Me too...they're both excellent mice, although I can't really tell much difference between them tbh (braided cable is a nice touch on the respawn though :))

Use mine with the Steelseries SP mat with max DPI.

I bought a respawn after having my DA 1800 broke. The respawn i had had bad staircasing and jittered when moving and lifting the mouse, Do you guys get any of this?

I got my respawn because my DA broke, I can't say i've had any problems with it at all.

I don't use the 3500 dpi as it is way over the top, 1800 dpi is where its at.

So you noticed no difference? over then net a lot people complain of the jitter and weird z axis issue. I lift the mouse a lot to turn also. The DA 1800 was fine when lifting the mouse. My respawn was awfull so returned it that week. Not sure if their was a massive bad batch going round. I am anxious about buying another one to have the same issues.

I'm a lift off style player when playing fps. Laser mice tend to have a really low lift off distance so I would find myself going to turn around and nothing happens. You don't get that problem with the deathadder since it's lift off distance is higher (about 7mm).

I have no jittering when lifting off slightly and moving the mouse. It feels just as good as my original 1800 deathadder and tracks just as smoothly at 5-7mm off the surface. As mentioned above I too use 1800dpi still on the respawn.
Maybe yours dmxdex2020 was just a dodgey one after all?

I also updated to the latest firmware which was released quite recently. Maybe they even sorted it in a release?

Well maybe but a lot of people over at the razer forums have had the same problems i have had with my previous one. Buying another one is a big risk for me. And i would like to mention i didnt use 1800 dpi. i use 900 dpi.
