I have a tarantula and deathadder and have just done a fresh install of XP, just wondering if it is worth putting the drivers on?

i ask cuz they are very quirky with me which can get mightily annoying and i dont remap any keys standard is fine so i guess i just want to know if i loose any of the accuracy or anything, no point having this tip-top mouse if its running at the same res as a bog standard jobby...

anyone know?

I have a Diamondback mouse, and I found the drivers I got with it were very good, but the latest ones on the website resulted in the mouse buttons 4 and 5 not working.

So I say the ones on the CD would be best in my experience. I think they were 4.9, but don't quote me on that.

ok, i'll bear that in mind, but i was saying is it worth installing them at all considering i will not be remapping the keys? will the mouse perform better with the drivers or do i get all the razer goodness in terms of precision etc without the software?

i'm happy with standard key mappings but:

• i dont want the overheads of extra taskbar stuff

• (more importantly) the drivers are quirky and often say my mouse isnt even there, so how effective can they be?

i tried the latest drivers for my diamond back and found when i pushed the middle mouse button in i had a 1-2 second lag, so i went back to the 5.09
