i was thinking of getting the razer rang of peripherals but after seeing some of the post on here it seems that there are a lot of problems with them is this right or rong ????

all depends.. they can be the best of the best or they can be cack

mostly just a firmware update sorts em out

i was thinking of
Logitech G15 Gaming-Grade Illuminated Keyboard - Retail (967599-0120)

or

Razer Tarantula Advanced Gaming Keyboard - Black
and
Razer Copperhead Tempest Blue 2000dpi High Precision Gaming Mouse - Retail

Awful mice IMO, simply because i find them uncomfortable, i much prefer logitech, otherwise MS mice.

Id go or a G5 or G7 personally, or the more recent equivelent.

yeah im a bit stuck on what mouse and keyboard to get i want good ones

Mice ergonomics are purely subjective... you really have to try one out for size to see if it suits your hand.

I currently use a Copperhead, but before that was using Logitech mice for years and I find both designs ok, but that's just me :)

my razer packed up after about 12 months, just use a ms optical now

I am left handed so all these fan dangled ergonomic ones are out, I have had a mx700 and a g5 but just couldnt get on with em due to my cack handedness.... lovely right handed tho, my son loved em both!!

so as above if right handed then logitech, if gifted (aka left handed as we are proven more intelligent ;) ) then a razer or similar

I use the wireless Logi G7 and love it, find it very comfortable and responsive, and the two rechargeable batteries last for ages. As said above the thing with mice is its very dependant on the person using it. What you find comfortable I might hate and nice versa. Although saying that the G& has many many good reviews so...

I've got a Logitech G15 and Razer Deathadder. In the past i've used a Saitek Eclipse keyboard and a mix of other mice - nothing that i've used has come close to these so far.

Razer mice are very impressive imo - i've used the copperhead, diamondback and deathadder. All were good but the adder is the best.

If your a gamer, get a razer.

But if you have Large hands it may be difficult for you to use, as they are lower and smaller than the logitech mice.

I'm not using the razer drivers with mine? Just plug and play.

That's true. But if you want to be able to do all the fancy stuff, you need the drivers. And the drivers are installed using a setup program. I have no idea why, things are much better with .inf files than messy setup programs.

In any case, it's perfectly functional without the drivers.

Well I've just flogged my Razer Copperhead Tempest Blue because it's just not practical for normal desktop use, although very good in games such as CSS but if I was to use the mice for photoshop - it was pretty frustrating. I didn't like the idea of swapping my mice in and out from gaming to everyday Windows tasks.
