Hi Guys

I've owned many mice over the years, mostly Logitech - but a couple of years ago I switched to a Razer Diamondback 3g, and she was a beauty. When she died I bought an Imperator - though I think my grip is more claw than not it still looked a great mouse.. now to my odd problem.

The pointer moves all over the place with loud noise.

It's nothing to do with firmware or drivers, I've updated both, and altering DPI makes no difference - I actually believed for months, embarrassing as it is to admit, that the craziness happening with an explosion in BFBC2 was a game feature

I've since watched the damn thing dance whenever loud music plays. The Diamondback had to contend with the same speakers, on the same desk, on the same mouse mat (soft) and never a quiver.

Is this paticular to this mouse? Due to high sensitivity laser sensors or maybe just the weight? If so, would someone tell me if a DeathAdder is heavier ? Or back to a MX518 or one of those sparkly RAT 5s ? Not as if I can test the things out with my setup before buying!!

Razer suggested I move speakers etc but that's just plain ridiculous - this is the only mouse this has occured to!

Am I the only person out there with this particular excuse why I suck at first person shooters :D

Cheers
--note to self, really must stop referring to my mouse as a she--

the only thing i can think would be doing it is the speakers vibrating the internals of the mouse, specifically the laser of it, causing that to vibrate

other than turning the volume/bass down or moving the speakers i have no idea what you could do if you want to keep this mouse

i think your the only person who uses that excuse truthfully, because its such a good one im going to use it myself :p

with gaming mice i would have expected that the laser be very high quality so that it can detect the smallest movements, perhaps the bass is affecting the laser...

You could always try editing the equalizer settings on your system to turn the bass down?

Probably the only pragmatic solution..just a bit confused why this mouse and no other! If it ends up meaning I need heavier mouse I'm going to have to ask the weight before I buy anything from now on :D
