Razer Imperator problems.

Hey guys,

A few months ago I started to get a problem with my Imperator. At first it was minor and I could tolerate it but now it's more frequent and longer time periods.

Upon startup, or when waking up from Sleep mode, it takes a while for me to be able to move the mouse. During this time, I can use all the other mouse buttons, but the cursor is simply stuck. This is also occurring during gaming now, and I get periods of usually about a second, sometimes longer (like close to 10), where I can do everything but move the mouse. I presume this is a laser issue, and as far as I can tell it is completely random.

The mouse surface is not an issue, as I've tried both hard and soft mats that have been cleaned properly. I've tried changing USB ports, but that has done nothing. I've disabled power saving in Windows which also hasn't helped. Driver software has been uninstalled and re-installed and firmware updates made no difference.

I e-mailed Razer Support and, as you can guess, they told me to contact the supplier for an exchange because I live outside of the US or Canada. The mouse was bought for me as a present so I don't have a receipt or anything. All I have is the original packaging and serial number on the mouse etc. :(

I suppose the question is, shall I take this further with Razer, or just give up, tell the person who gave me the present about the problem and get them to exchange it with Amazon, or ask them to get me a refund so I can buy something else?

Thanks everyone.
