Hi all

I got a Razer Lachesis Banshee Blue 4000dpi High Precision Gaming Mouse - Retail from christmas.

I have installed the software, rebooted machine. Mouse works.

Reboot machine, mouse not working. I unplug it then plug it back in works. Ihave tried this in about 5 USB ports, all do the same. I have downloaded the driver & Firmware from the website (same as what was on the disk) Installed and done the firmware.

Still the same.

I have tired it on my wifes laptop, no problem (laptop 2 weeks old).

Anyone got any ideas, this is getting on my pip.

Thanx

Edit it looks like I cant change the I cant change the DPI. (Will try on the laptop)

Did you have a wireless mouse/keyboard combo before? I had one, and until I replaced the wireless keyboard too, that came as part of the original combo, I got this problem. I don't know if it was something to do with the sender/receiver being for a keyboard/mouse, but as soon as I ditched all wireless, I had issues. Now I have none. When I used to to look in the hardware profile before I replaced the wireless keyboard, my profile used to show '2' HID Compliant mice.

I have since updated the mouse firmware to 1.56, but this was simply to keep up to date, and not to fix the issue.

Hi

Nope no wireless at all, keyboard is a G15.

My divice manager shows

Human interface devices

Lachesis Mouse

Mice and other pointing devices

HID compliant mouse

If I delete either of these the mouse stops.

I'm now running a G15 keyboard. I am also running Vista Ultimate x64 on an ASUS Maximus Formula mobo. My Device manager doesn't show 'Lachesis Mouse', simply HID compliant mouse, even though the drivers are installed.

Hey, I have the same mouse running on Vista x64 with no issues. But I'm not here to gloat, I believe the issue your ahving is that with logietch products, such as the G15 keyboard, drivers and firmware are required to run them. I had this for my MX-518. I believe the software is an all-in-one package catering for mice, keyboards and possibyl headsets. So I would try uninstalling the drivers/firmware, then downloading and installing the latest ones from Razer, installing them. And then install the Logitech software..

I'm not sure if thsi will fix your problem, but I think that the Logitech software conflicting with your Razer software is the problem..

Hope I've helped.

i went from a logitech mx518 to a razer lachesis and all i done was unplugged the logitech and plugged in razer (with pc on) put disc in for the razer installed it and rebooted pc... i havnt had any problems!!

try that.. but i think ** computer is gettin confused with drivers tbh.. i had same problem along time ago

OK I uninstalled the G15 software, removed everything from the Devices manager.

Rebooted, mouse worked. reinstalled the Lachesis software, reboot. Worked.

Downloaded the latest G15 software, installed, rebooted. And guess what back to the same problem.

So looks like its the G15 software conflict.

Bow do I tell Logitech or razer.
