Razer Lachesis wheel button

I've had a Lachesis for 12 months now and am very happy with it, but recently the middle mouse button has become very unresponsive. The sound and feel when it's pressed is very weak compared to how it used to be, and how it should be. I do use the wheel to scroll a lot and the middle button is my push-to-talk button in ventrilo so I use it a lot.

Has anyone else had similar issues? Is there anything I can do with or without voiding the warranty, or is returning it to razer the best option (still within their 2 year warranty)?

Thanks

Contact them, i had the same issue, they replaced the mouse, and all they asked me to do was cut off the usb end and send it to them in the post.
Friend who is pretty handy with electronics was able to solder on a new USB end and actually open up the nouse and fix it, so he had himself a new mouse as well.

Showboat (or anyone else), do you have any advice for opening up the mouse and cleaning around the wheel?

Seems I lost track of the time I've had the mouse for and it's actually been 2 years and is just outside of warranty, annoyingly.. So looks like I have nothing to lose by opening it up!
