Currently not long got my razer lachesis and im still getting hang of it after couple of days.. still not too sure if i like it over my logitech mx518 (im abit of a gamer)

anyway, i currently had a 'soft' mouse pad and i found this was causing problems for the razer mouse bcoz of the weight of my hand on back of it the front would lift up little and sometimes make the laser go crazy!!

so i removed the mouse pad and im just using my hard surfaced desk but its still not movin too good mainly becoz my hand end ups sticking to the desk lol!!

what would you mouse pad would you recommend??
i dont have room for a massive pad but if you wouldnt mind i'd like ** opinions on both a big & small pad.. price is not a matter!!

thank you in advance and merry xmas & happy new year.. :)

If a soft pad is causing you problems you may like a SteelPad. I have a Razer Mantis which is a little bit soft but it shouldn't cause a problem. Both are around £15.

The Exactmat is quite good but the gel wrist support is quite awkward in feeling/positioning. Great for PKR and Surfing though ;). The mat with the gel wrist support moved is much better for FPS gaming.

I use an Icemat (the frosted glass) pad. Had zero problems with my Mircrosoft/Razer Habu or my bro's Razer Copperhead. My Lachesis should be arriving tomorrow, so we shall see! :D But I love the Icemat, it's quality and really looks the part imo. You do get a "swooshing" sound when moving the mouse, but not loud or annoying! :)

ive looked at the icemats too, would love to hear your feedback after tryin the lachesis on it

I have the Exactmat with my Lachesis (running new Beta firmware) and it's fantastic! So smooth and the control I have with the mouse is now near as perfect as I can get it!

Well it arrived this morning just after 9am! Damn that's early. lol. Anyways, the mouse is very nice and I love the pulsing snaze symbol on the rear of the mouse... very cool. Just had 10 minutes or so within Windows and it's quick, had to turn the sensitivity down a bit but it's working great with the IceMat.

I was worried becuase the last two Razer mice have come with teflon pads to go on the feet of the mice, but this one hasn't. I'm sure the Copperhead has teflon pads as standard on the mouse yet comes with pads as well??? Regardless, I placed the mouse on the IceMat and it works brilliant! Same as the HABU. Smooth and responsive, no sticking.

I've tried lifting the mouse off the IceMat and back down again to see what happens to the pointer. It does move a little bit, as expected as you can't place the mouse down in the exact spot where it's lifted from... but it doesn't shoot across the screen, wobble, or do anything strange. Very pleased. I think bearing in mind the Firmware is v1.00 that in future releases these small bugs will hopefully be fixed.

So with regards to the Lachesis and the IceMat, no problem, just like the HABU and Copperhead before they work a treat on the fosted glass surface.

Some pics anywho!

No worries. :)

After a few days using the mouse it's growing on me even more. I thought it wouldn't be that comfortable, but it is. :) The material as well has a soft feel to it as well.

Really pleased with this mouse. I think my only gripe, and it's a small one, is that the side buttons are slightly hard to press in. Not too bad but hopefully they'll wear with time and be easier to click. :)

i keep findin the mouse seems to be slower while movin then suddenly boost back up, a mate has same problem..

i like the icemat though, looks good.. might try one out myself lol!

the side buttons are hard to push, try keep ** hand back off the mouse abit it helps a lot, sometimes when i push the 'top' side button my other thing tends to push the mouse button sometimes lol!

Yeah that's what I've had to do, as I found I accidently clicked the main button by accident. lol. :)
