Razer Leviathan

A 5.1 surround sound soundbar, that is neither 5.1, nor surround.

"Full-range 5.1 true-to-life surround sound" according to the site. It has two full range drivers and two tweeters. That's some nice marketing BS there, Razer, but then I'm sure that is the point. Seems to be working, given what Twst has said.

Pity that Corsair is stopping the SP2500, because for a little more money, that is a far better buy that doesn't claim to be something it isn't.

To be fair Razer's surround sound algorithms work fairly well, it won't even be close to a substitute to a true 5.1 setup though - let alone a good quality pair of speakers (and chuck some dolby in or whatever if you want fake surround sound).

Wanting to get some new speaker but only have room for 2.1 set up so the look of these also intrigued me. There is just so little choice for 2.1 now they all seem to of vanished from everywhere unless you want crappy £30.00 creatives :(

That looks pretty good, Im wondering if I would have room on my desk for it though with all the other crap I have laying around lol.

Shop around for Harman Kardon Soundsticks i have had mine for about 2 years now they still work great and produce really good sound (i dont use a gaming headset i use a blue mic and these) and i probaly would have broken about 3 headsets by now....

They have so decent reviews but I dont like the look m8 thanks though.

So anyone using the razers?

Nope I've sold out in 14 days waiting for the next batch not expecting them to stay in stock long.

When demand dies off I'll see about getting a pair out of stock but I'm not tainting stock when it's in demand.

no it doesn't seem bad I'm really interested in it too. soundbars are easily the future for the casual gamer with monitors increasing in size it's a logical option.

If it does the job and it does it well it will be a top seller for us. Sadly supply is too hard at the moment. got 25 more units landing soon.

With corsair dropping out there are no really Good 2.1 systems. This whilst it claims to be 5.1 will be a fantastic alternative to a 2.1 and fits the price point.

I ordered one direct and should be with me tomorrow. I checked OCUK and said 27th eta I think but when I was ready to order it was over due. Shame as I wanted to stick my money your way. I'll post some photos when I get it setup.

Just setup the sound bar and sub. I have it connected through optical to my Asus Phoebus. First thing i noticed when setup was the crystal clear sound reproduction from my music. I hit youtube for some easy content playing and again it seemed so much clearer. To be fair i have come away from a simple logitech 2 speaker setup so it was going to be a jump up. I have noticed that there is no option to adjust the bass, although not a massive issue as i can control this through Phoebus software but would be handy to adjust on the fly. Bass is deep, punchy and is keeping up with dance tracks. I have the urge to turn it up and keep going but it's night and i respect my neighbours!! I'm going to give BF Hardline a go in a min and i'll report back again. So far I'm impressed, very impressed :)

I might not get round to posting photos until Friday but i will do it.
