Razer lycosa quick question

Hi everybody,

I just have a quick question to ask. I bought my new razer lycosa from the members market here on OcUK and since day one it was brilliant but after I updated the drivers from the razer website it seems to be increasingly hard to play games with the WASD cluster because of the anti-ghosting (no more than 2 keys can be pressed at any one time on the cluster) so when im moving forward and then start strafing left and right it sometimes cuts out my W key so i cant move forward:/

However that is not a big issue as my other one, sometimes the media panel (top right of the lycosa) controls itself at random times and just basically locks down so whenever I press anything on the panel nothing happens and it keeps opening WinAMP and cycling through the songs with a mind of its own which means I have to keep replugging the USB.

Is this a driver issue or a PC issue or faulty keyboard?

The warranty is out because the keyboard is over 1 year old and the code cannot be used on the website because the previous owner used it. Feel like i've wasted £40 :/

Keyboard is brilliant, clean, no faulty keys or anything, just that bug sometimes..

I remember reading a while back that some of the lycosa keyboards had issues. I forget which serial numbers this affected but it sounds like yours is one of them. I have the same keyboard myself and at the time I checked the serials affected against mine and mine was OK (and I haven't had a problem with it)
Maybe somebody else can link you to the bad batch of keyboards. Not that this is going to do you any good though. I would say if it was OK with older drivers then revert back to them. The newest isn't always the best when it comes to drivers regardless of what we are constantly told.

Okay thank you for the quick response. I'll be sure to revert the drivers after I finish my game of counter-strike and If thats not fixed it I shall drop you a PM if you don't mind.

EDIT: I just checked on the web for the lycosa batch serial numbers which were defective which are;
MT0803
MT0802
MT0801
MT07

And mine is; MT0905

So I don't know whats up :/

I never installed the drivers for mine and it all works great. I'd uninstall the drivers and see if that helps.

I've had a lycosa a long time ago, it was first gen and both first and second gen of the keyboard are flawed which to my knowledge no driver can fix. Firstly the first gen keyboards sometimes hammer through the play-list of itunes or media player whichever software you use. And they also think that the keys are stuck even though there not physically the only way to fix this problem is to unplug the keyboard and plug it back in.

The second gen keyboards which my friend has also gets the mystery sticky keys again you just have to unplug it and plug it back in. Awesome design and feel to it but unfortunately I had to sell mine because I just couldn't put up with the bugs any more.
