Didn't really know where to ask this, but since I'm pretty sure it's a sound card issue I'll ask here.

Ok, so I'm using the Razer Megalodon and I can't get it working with Skype for the life of me. Everytime I try to join a call it says 'problem with playback device'.

What is basically going on is that Skype is only detecting EITHER my microphone or my speakers at any one given time, but never both.

Also when I go on the 'Quality Call Information', it says that Skype can't access my soundcard. Since the Megalodon has it's own built in sound card I think this is causing the issue.

Does anyone else own the same headphones and can confirm a problem and is there even a fix?

OK I've found a solution to my own problem.

What seems to be the case is that the Megalodon requires a lot of power, this extends past Skype since Steam voice chat was experiencing the same problems.

Here's what you need to do, there are 2 ways to fix this.

1. The easy way, a lot of computers come with 2 sets of USB ports, one set on the back and one set on the front, the Megalodon requires 1 full set to itself. In my case I had everything plugged into the back and when I plugged the Megalodon into the front pannel it both microphone and speakers worked Hurah!

- To do this you must plug the Megalodon into one set of USB ports and have all other USB ports in that set empty.

2. The hard more expensive way, you are going to require a powered USB hub, this is basically just adding another bank of USB's to your computer and like the first way, the Megalodon required all the ports to work (I think), so if you are going to do this I'd recommend a cheap one with a small number of ports.

I hope people will see this since I was trying to sort this problem out for hours and no where else had an answer for me, I almost bought another set of USB ports until I figured out the front set would work.
