Morning all,
Apologies if this is in the wrong section...
I’ve had a Razer Pro-Click v1.6 for probably at least 4 or 5 years now, and it’s served me well. I have a very brief dalliance with a GX518, but really didn’t get on with it (seemed to have a weird sort of acceleration on it that I just couldn’t get rid of, despite trying all the settings – was very noticeable in BFBC2).
Anyway – for some reason that I can’t fathom, I’ve been getting BSODs, especially when playing games, but also when browsing. The culprit appears to be ‘razerlow.sys’. I’ve tried checking for updated drivers, but there appear to be none. Its seems to be a bit of an issue that crops up according to some Google searches.
As a stopgap, I’ve uninstalled the Razer drivers and (touchwood) it seems to have sorted it out – though I’m losing most if not all of the options I previously had available on the mouse.
I’m not adverse to replacing it, as it is quite old; looking tatty and (as it’s white) doesn’t really go with the aesthetics of the rest of the computer (black, really...).
So – bearing in mind I didn’t get on with the Logitech – what else is available to me? I had thought I was going to replace it with another Razer mouse as I’d got on with this one for so long (and am used to it) – but am worried about having the same driver issues. I’d rather not spend any more than about £50.
Any other Razer users with similar issues – or have been able to ‘cure’ the problem?
Cheers,
Rich
