I'm gonna buy a new mouse to replace my wireless Logitech MX1000 and because I've never tried an actual gaming mouse.

I've read good things about the Deathadder Respawn but am drawn to the Naga due to the extra buttons. This side buttons look great for mapping the weapons in BF3.

Is there any reason not to go for the Naga over the Deathadder? I know it's billed as an MMO mouse but I don't play WoW and never will.

Both are very good mice, i have owned both and i find the Naga not as agile for fps games compared to other mice on the market, if you're an avid FPS player then definitely buy the Deathadder and macro with your keyboard.

The Naga is more of a all-rounder which excels in RTS and MMO's

I'm not big on the minutiae of the + or - millisecond differences between various models of mice, but I do know that once you get used to it, the grid on the Naga does make switching weapons in BF3 ludicrously easy. Just make sure you are used to it, or you'll forever do what I was doing: creeping up behind someone to knife them (button 4) and re-equipping your main gun (button 1). Makes it hard to knife someone in the head when you're holding a M416 :p

I'm sure you can change keybinds but as everyone knows, that was a PITA to do in beta so I didn't bother.

Deathadder: Got two of them, can't fault them.

But, Razer customer service is total ****, had a Razer Lachesis, broke the scroll wheel spindle, no spares available, So I now have an expensive paperweight.

I have 2 Naga's. Fantastic mice, but I play MMO's and that's what makes them fantastic for me... I'd probably say the Deathadder will be better for FPS though, I use mousewheel up for knifing on FPS games. (sounds like you have to have knife equipped to knife in BF3 however??)

Yeah you need the knife equipped.

The reason I fancied the side buttons is because when I'm moving in an FPS I keep hitting the wrong number key for my weapons and pulling out the wrong one. The amount of times I've tried to club someone to death with a first aid kit is unreal. :)

I just find it easier using buttons on the mouse. Think I'll just go for the Naga because it's not just for FPS games, I'm sure I'll find other uses for the extra buttons.

The Naga is an awesome mice, Im using the epic version and you can find uses for those nifty buttons in just about any game, I played Shogun 2 for a while and they helped with macroing and army management, now I play BC2 mostly and I can switch weapons according to the numbers, and I dont have to lift my left hand off wasd

I have a Lachesis, and totally regret buying the mouse. It's nothing special, no way was it worth £64

The plan is to get the Naga using a couple of vouchers I got from Lovefilm trials. Assuming the vouchers stack the mouse will only cost me a tenner.

Update: Got two Amazon £20 vouchers from lovefilm trials - one at my address and one at my parents using a different bank card.

Ordered a Razer Deathadder Black Edition and it only cost me £10.30.

[Borat Voice] I like!!! [/Borat Voice]

One thing to note with the Naga which I use for mmo's (which it is pretty good for) one major flaw it has is the 2 top left buttons (button3 & button4) are pretty unusable with your thumb.

If you like the side buttons try a Logitech G700, it has four side buttons and three next to the left click. It's a part of the G series so it's a "gaming" mouse.

3 and 4 are not the top left, 1 and 2 are, how ever i feel the bottom right are harder to use 11 and 12; only 2 i have an issue using in mmo.

I use my naga on cod/bf3 honestly there is not a great deal of a diffrence ive used the deathadder aswell as the copperhead and many more razer mouses in the past. I dont feel there is a great diffrence other than the sensitivity which i dull down to almost nothing anyways.

the "mmo;rts" buttons come in handy for a shedload of things in fps aswell.

that my thoughts anyways.
