Razer Ouroboros problem.

Hi guys.

Just got one of those new shiny Ouroboros wireless mice from razer and need some help on a little problem.

The scroll wheel on the mouse is fine scrolling up on a webpage but super sluggish when scrolling down. Admittedly I like to scroll pretty fast but all my previous mice have been fine and this is a hundred quid mouse! It's like the faster you try to scroll down the less responsive it gets but it's fine going up.

It's fine for games where you wanna scroll down to your next weapon or something but if you're really trying to scroll through something like facebook or any really long web page then it acts funny.

I thought ok my mouse is faulty so I returned it but the replacement is just the same.

Do some mice just do this or have razer built a crappy mouse? I avoided razer for years because they seemed to be more about flashy lights than performance but I decided to give them a chance.

Any ideas would be appreciated while i am still entitled to a refund if I want one.

Thanks
Ronnie.

Razer are known for their flashy lights but they do also make some great products.

I would say that their QC leaves something to be desired. I've had several Razer products and no faults at all but I do read a lot of minor faults with their stuff.

Sounds like the mouse as a whole mate. Get something else....

Have sent off an email to razer, since they don't have any actual forums which is a joke if you ask me. Will wait to see their answer on the off chance they have heard about this issue and have some solution or something. Shame though, it seems a good mouse with lots of options, as long as the currently crap software works for you.

Ok razer just answered after 2 days. they have said they need another 2 days to give me the real answer lol. I think I will take that refund and go back to my Ikari laser

You actually bought one of these?

Wow. Its far too insane looking for me, it looks like one of batman's throwing weapons.

I think they overdid the styling.

Got a refund. Would love the 4g sensor in another mouse but the ouroboros is overpriced and felt cheap. lesson learned

Razer Deathadder is a great mouse with the 4g sensor.

edit: DeathAdder 3.5g, still great though

Is the 4G sensor the twin sensor that the Imperator has? I had one of those for about a week and I don't think that sensor is actually any good. Just good marketing.

+1 Deathadder

I got one and have never looked back :D

+10000 for the DeathAdder ;) great mouse. had mine for nearly a year and is like new, considering i use my computer for 12-14 hours a day that's not bad going.

(12 hours a day cause it's work and pleasure)

I think the dual sensor is great and a lot more than just marketing, it's the only really good thing about the Ouroboros. I have had some good mice but that 4G sensor is better than anything I have tried. Isn't there an ergonomic right handed mouse anywhere with that sensor? That would be ideal IMO.
