Im a big big razer diamondback fan, infact i used my old 2004 1600dpi diamond back mouse all the way up untill 2015 when the new diamondback came out, but then the scroll wheel started playing up, so i got a new one in 2016, and the same issue again.
The problem is, for example if i scroll to the top of the page.. and continue scrolling up, it will jump down a row or two then go up etc same with scrolling down. it's really annoying as i do a lot of daylon leveller work which is constantly scrolling in and out with the camera and also all games i play im usually scrolling in and out with the camera. so when your trying zooming out and it then scrolls in for a second or two, it's annoying as hell.
Iv just now taken apart one of these mice and tried to fix the scroller, all the cog's and bearings are fine like brand new so i cleaned it up perfectly, still the issue, so i even tried modifying stuff and squeezing metal together so that everything is much tigher so that the scroller fixes into each click better and is harder to turn. Still the issue. even tried the mice in other computers, still the issue so it's the hardware and the problem starts after 8 months or so.
So if anyone knows any other fix, let me know.
Onto the spec me a mouse --
Preferably id like one shaped like a diamondback they seem to fit my hand the best out of all mice iv tried, tried a deathadder and hated it, tried a few others but didn't like any so thats why i stuck with my old diamondback for 11 years.
The mouse doesn't need to be too powerful, i like around 1400-1800 dpi depending on what im working on.
