Razer Sphex Mousepad?

I was thinking of getting a few of these and join them together to make a sort of mini boogie bug (don't have the desk space for a boogie).

Anyone used one of these mats, what is the surface comparable to? I have used a variety of pads does it have a similar feel to another mousepad? Is it a cloth or plastic texture?

Using with a cyborg rat 9 5600 dpi version, I'm hoping this will be a good combo I've read this mouse has issues with certain pads but I've only used it on a wood desk and a free mousepad I got with a magazine. With no issues.

i use a sphex and i love it altho when i first got it i thought what is this **** as it is paper thin

its plastic with a glue back you could connect 2 side by side but you wouldnt be able to make a big square as the edges are curved i use a razer naga with it if that helps

i ALWAYS use a sphex regardless of what other pad ive got, i stick it over the top of soft pads to give it a bit more of a hard feel.

they are excellent.
