Right, so I've never been a fan of Synapse. Occasionally, it decides not to work properly unless I restart the app or reboot. For the past few days, it's decided to just not work.

I have a Razer Taipan and the side buttons on both sides are assigned to 'F5' and 'Backspace' so I can easily refresh or go back on web browsers. Now, whenever Synapse is on, the buttons stop working. If I close the app, the buttons go back to their default key assignment (forward and back).

Has anyone noticed anything similar and is there a fix?

I do sometime find Synapse to be a bit flakey but can't say I've really noticed that issue recently.
A while ago I had something very similar happen with my laptop where it seemed to ignore the extra buttons on my Naga. But I'm not sure quite what went wrong there. I had an old HDD for the laptop with a slightly older imagine on (had just upgraded it to a SSHD). I went back to the older drive, where the mouse had been working fine and it had the same issue. So a reset the laptop to the factory install state using the recovery disk and re-installed everything and it seemed to fix it. So I've no idea what went on there. During this time the mouse was working fine on other PCs.
