Who likes popups? You know when you turn on your pc to work or play, who does not love it when corporations popup some superfluous rubbish and demand that you MUST sign-in to their data-analytics system?
Razer is the latest deviant to attack me with this nonsense. Every day now on reboot RAZER SYNAPSE demands that I enter my login details . . . for a flippin’ MOUSE! What is wrong with the world when you have to type in your email address and some password you will never care to remember for a MOUSE! We need to stop this nonsense right now or in future we will have to log in to every piece of hardware separately so that corporations can run their data analytics tools over your data to make more MONEY. You will have to log in to your gpu (if nvidia doesn’t have you doing that already), log in to your memory, your monitor, log in to each one of your hard drives separately . . . this is madness.
In Synapse settings (after logging in of course, damn them!) I manually disabled all notifications. It still pops up on reboot! So I disabled ‘run on startup’ and disabled everything in options including checking for updates etc. Imagine my utter bewilderment when it pops up again on reboot demanding that I log in!? How is this possible? It’s like a virus. It’s not even authorised to run on startup anymore, yet there it is! How do I disable this BS!?
Tesco knows when some of its female customers are having their periods - based on data analytics - you do not want corporations knowing too much about you over time. And you know they do not want this data to make less money. Beware Razer.
