Razer Tarantula

Picked up a Razer Tarantula yesterday, took it home, installed all usual software for the profiles etc, was initially using it on my Windows 7 x64 rig and all seemed to work fine, except when you pressed the CAPS LOCK key, the LED never illuminated. Not really a biggie, but when you spend £50 on a keyboard, you except something like that to work.

Anyway, I popped it on to my Vista x86 laptop, still the same happened. Slapped it on to my work's XP Pro x86 rig and still no LED ... ok, so i figure its faulty so took it back today, the techie behind the counter slapped it on his standard XP rig, and bang, the caps lock led was working like a charm ... i was like wtf?

Anyway, I swapped it for a Logitech G15 whilst I was there as i just didnt like the Tarantula in the end ... much prefer the Logitech

Anyone want to have a guess as to why neither 7, Vista, or XP would illuminate the caps lock led, but on a stangers random rig it worked fine lol

Well you popped it first time and slapped the second time, the guy in the shop probably plugged it lol

Strange issue, could have been faulty regardless of it working on his rig, temperamental hardware. I would have gotten another one to try anyway, I'm weird like that but I bet the second one would have worked on yours.
