Razer Tiamat echo problem with d2x

Hey all,

Was having a problem with the Tiamats on my d2x, there was a tinny echo/reverb and lack of bass. This seems to have been sorted after installing the new Xonar unified drivers 1.61. So if your experiencing the same problem give it a go!

I might give that driver a try, I keep getting echoing, mainly in games that have water or wind sound effects, I have cut it down quite a bit by turning the Bass speakers volume in the headphones down.
Looking at the Xonar unified drivers info it looks like it cuts the sound from 7:1 to 5:1 but i'm not sure.
It does say this which seems to be relevent to our problems :-
"Fixed the Rear and Center channel delays which where enabled by default are now disabled. This fixes the strange annoying reverb that people hear with 5.1", but the problem is with 7:1 as well

Yes sorted the same problems out for me as well, Thanks for posting that solution.
Still not quite sure if I am getting 7:1 surround, still got knifed from behind in BF3, lol

Hey Phil, really late reply, Asus drivers are pretty outdated now to say the least lol.
Boost your rear speakers on your tiamat a little, that helps me a fair bit. Then again I normally just get mowed down by m16's
