Had a Razer Deathadder for a number of years and it has recently developed an issue where when holding down either mouse button it loses the hold without me lifting off. As you can imagine this is a nightmare when dragging on the desktop or holding aim in a first person shooter.

I've tried reinstalling drivers but no luck. I think it is just broke. I am now looking for a replacement that has similar functionality and ergonomic profile. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Deathadder Chroma.

I'd imagine you can just clean the sensors. I made my original Deathadder last for 8 years with cleaning it now and again. Had heavily every day for 8 years.

Replaced it with a da chroma

I had 2 Deathadder mice develop the exact same problem, apparently its something to do with the coil under the buttons that fails, I put the first deathadder failure down to bad luck, but when the second one went in about 18 months, I did not get another,

I did get the Mamba TE but im having issues with that aswell, im thinking of taking it back, and moving away from Razer completely, if you can get the Mamba TE to work, its actually a very comfortable mouse to use, shame Razer products seem to have so many issues as of late.

Thinking of switching from Razer. The issue seems to be a common one. How do you clean yours under the buttons? Air can?

I switched from a DA to a steel series rival 500 and it's much better. The mouse clicks feel much better in quality and the build quality is better. The shape is very similar aswell so its an easy switch.

Zowie FK1+, Logitech G403, SteelSeries Rival 300, DA Chroma (Depending on your hand size but I like the LMB clicks on Razer products which is good for FPS games and that's where the pros for Razer products stop for me.)

Take your pick.

I actually like this guys reviews as we share the same opinions on the mice I have owned

Mine has started doing this.

Was thinking of getting a Rival 300 or 700.

Replaced my 2011 deathadder last week with a steel series rival 300 .. its really similar in weight and size , feels really well built and the clicks feel solid ! Great mouse would definitely recommend this :)

My DA2013's middle click is starting to die and getting quite temprimental.

DA Chroma, Elite or Zowie EC1-A seems to be the obvious choices...
