Razor Game Booster

Looks like some BS bloatware to me. Very much sounds like another peice of software that collects informaton to spy on you.

Im not paranoid.
 
No thanks, i'm quite capable of selecting the best configurations and settings for my games, i don't need a program to do it for me.
 
Not bad they are offering it for free. I find these to be totally pointless bits of software for the hardcore gamers but might be useful for the average joe who wants all his games stored in one place who doesn't use Steam/Origin.

I'm going to give it a go now for one feature. Screen recording! Just going to see if its as good as fraps.
 
I use the previous version, before it got the razer branding.
I dont use any of the extra features, just the boosting.
All it does it stop lots of services and then re-start them when you exit the game.

I too thought "pointless bloatware" until I tried it.
Planetside 2 is a good game to try it with, and the only game I regulary use it with. It will not increase your maximum FPS, but it certainly increases your minimum fps. This could be becuase its a beta/crappy engine though.

Yes, the Razer branding has added lots of pointles features and some spyware type functionality. I believe you even have to create an acount and be conneced to te internet for it to work.
 
They do tend to work, they just normally stop unwanted processes, but this is all stuff you can do yourself and normally it will only squeeze a few more FPS anyway so not even worth doing it, imo that is :)
