Razor Mantis Control Pad cut to size?

Hi, bored at work and thought i would ask the question

Has anyone ever "cut" there razor mantis pad down to size, to fit on a keyboard tray or for a smaller desk? (dont laugh)

Ive got a keyboard/mouse compartment that pulls out on my desk, and from looking at my brothers mantis pad, there's no way my one (due to arrive tomorrow) is going to fit.

Has anyone ever cut there's with a Stanley knife? or something similar. any recommendations for a clean cut?

Yeah, a Stanley will do it.

Over time the edges will probably fray as its cloth.
