Just wondering if anyone is into building rc boats here? I'm wanting to build my very first one and have a few questions to ask, thanks.

Hi Skidder, I want to build an old warship type boat with sails. I still want it powered by electric though not wind.
What sort of wood would I use?
Do i need to use fiberglass at any stage?
Can't find many plans for old warship type boats, if you know of any websites that would be great. Not sure if your allowed to name the website on here though.
I think that's all the questions i have for now, likely to have more soon though
apprectiate any help.

Honestly not sure on wood type, I use balsa (or EPP foam) for planes but my boats are all kit based.
Personally if i were building a model of a boat that was powered with sails, I would power it with sails but to each their own.

Yes thinking about it now a boat with sails should be powered by the.. sails haha.
