RC cars

NiMH's are pretty safe though, not like LiPo's, I've never heard of one blowing up or catching fire.

Get a Bat-Box if you're worried though for storage and charging.

Having sold almost my entire RC collection and deciding I'm done with racing, I've just finished building a Team Associated B84 and planning a YZ10 build for vintage racing :D

The B84 looks lush - the guys at our track who have them have been impressed.

YZ10 - not so much, fantastic car (I do want one!) - but the ReRe's have had a few QC issues and even with 10.5T motors have issues with the transmissions. I would only get one if I was prepared to spend on after market stuff and do a lot of fettling. Or get a TrickBits YZ10 R25 - but they are north of £1K

Do you know what car they changed from? As far as I'm aware on the national circuit, the team drivers have been slower with their B84's than they were with their B74.2's but I'm sure over time they'll get things nailed!
One from a 74.2, other from XB4 25 - but track is low-med grip (so longer arms probably help)

Team drivers are doing similar stuff with the B7's and running B6 rear arms and B6 front spindles - so not surprised they haven't moved over yet, they have thousands of laps under their belts with the old cars and have them absolutely where they want them.

Before you grab a B84 - find the new CAT PB to look at, my XB4 is getting a bit long in the tooth so I was considering a B84, XB4 2025, or Yokomo MO2 - but I managed to get my hands on a CAT PB today and it looks awesome, so awesome that I ordered one immediately!

Afternoon all!

Anyone know what type of battery charging connector this is please? Lost the charging cable!
Would it be a 1.25mm JST?
TY!

I went with the 84 as I ran AE for years before swithing to Yokomo. I used a MO2 for indoor and MO1 for outdoor. MB have the MO2 at a great price. Was tempted to get one for parts. CAT PB looks good too, my closest carpet club tends to be big with Schumacher so I expect to see plenty of PBs there. I'm hoping the 84 will be a good one. Mild concern with the kit setup for carpet being 30K front and 100K rear and drive it like a 2WD (apparently) I'm not keen on 2WD so we'll see how it goes.

Anyone in Leicestershire, Loughborough area, want my old bits?
We're moving house this week and if I move them from this house to the next they'll just get put in the shed and left.

Got 2 TT01's, various shells, controllers and a few other random bits.

Collection only, by Thursday at the latest, LE12 8GQ

Don't want owt for them just rather they go to someone that will get more use out of them...

Had an absolute mare racing yesterday. In practice car felt great, heat 1 lost a screw in the front hub so couldn't steer. Heat 2 the slipper sounded like it was undone but it wasn't. Rebuilt the slipper and the noise stopped. Heat 3 I clipped the whiite tubing we use, not even that hard and broke off the steering link. Managed to complete heat 4 but with dodgy steering after bodging it. back of my final (yay) and stripped the spur.

Awesome day! :D
