Really should get my old electric working again. Gave up when someone used the same frequency as me at a race resulting in me running off the track(was outlined by old firemans hose filled with sand) over the hose and under a crate which was at an angle so it was crushed under the edge.

The mounts for shell were broken, as was the shock mounts, both wishbones, driveshafts bent and cv joins damaged. Completely ****** :p

Couldn't be bothered to spend that much money to fix it and no-one owned up.
However, this does look fun.

Might be able to get my dad's one working as he just gave up as I did.

I had a Yokomo MR4-TC with a nice motor etc 4wd job :), was quite competitive.

Think my dad's was a Schumacher Axis 2 so was a better chassis than mine, but mine was faster and more agile ^_^

sounds like a traggic :(

theres lots of hongkong websites on google where you can get dirt cheap parts.

hows the yokomo? my friends might buy it.

I've got a couple of spare MR4-TCs lying about if you need spares ;)

I wonder if it will work on my 10th scale nitro stadium truck. hmm... :D

It'll have to wait a few weeks though as its at home and I'm at uni. :(

Not bad, pretty good chassis the TT01. Looks pretty slow though. Have you considered the carson upgrade kit for it. New spur and pinion gear, bearings and oil shocks. The speed boost from the gearing is awsome even on the standard Tamiya motor. The package makes a huge difference if you enjoy the drifiting side of things.

That is pretty cool. I'm betting the tape wears through/falls apart pretty quick?

It wears pretty well, actually.

My drifter has drift tyres, but they're actually a bit over-grippy for an electric, they're more nitro drift tyres, so I tape them. Going round the tyre about ten times will last a fair few runs, and electrical tape's hardly expensive...

It was the yokomo :P

Edit: just went to the garage and got out the MR4 tc. (Axis is fine IIRC).

Was in yr 7 so 5 years ago, hence the lack of funds to fix it. Anyway, looks like I superglued all the parts together. In no way race strength, but might work for drift since theres less traction so less strain... Missing a screw on the bottom of the right hub but apart from that it looks fine. Will try it out in a sec to see if the electrics work.

Body has a fair few cracks in and a big dent in the bonnet from the shock mount when it was compressed by the crate.

crash was like this:
http://wheee.co.uk/ul/mr4crash.PNG

Scaled it down to save bandwidth so you can't see much of the damage. Safe to say there's a *lot* of superglue ;p

images of it

Pics aren't very good. It's metallic red and the spoiler is "carbon fibre effect" tape I bought from world of ice or somewhere like that.

The car was only £100 from a guy who sold it really cheap as I didn't have much money and he liked getting people into the sport, as well as having a custom made car :P

Just tried it on the batteries. They're really weak and ran the motor for a second. For some reason the steering's backwards :o

Im looking into modeling again, its slightly of topic i know but... im looking for a really good car model to put together.. something in the lines of these RC scales.. 1/10 or in that region..

Must be as realistic as possible and be really complicated with the finished thing looking amazing..

Any tips..
