Anybody got the Wild Wheels Radio Controlled Helicopter from OCUk?

Have brought a few 2 channle rc helis and they are great fun, anybody know what these are like - can I fly it indoors, is it fully controllable indoors?

it says for indoor use on the description ;) just noticed OCUK sell these, love the description for the USB missile launcher

This missile launchers connects via the USB ports on your PC. Then via your PC you are able to control the missile launcher and can shoot your office friends. Please note if you shoot a friend in the eye and blind them OcUK will not be held responsible for your unfortunate friend or for yourself when your buddy gives you a good beating.

:D

Got the usb missile launcher - its fun for the office and playing with the dog. Think I'll put a usb webcam on top and see if I can remotely control it over the web :D

If you want a living heli get a picco z, they are brilliant. Have a look on youtube for videos of them flying.

Our lab has taken order of 2 Venom Ocean rescues RC copters to play with.... will report when they arrive.
The RC unit will be reipped out and replace with an IMU + I.MX31 based CPU board, a couple of picco cameras.

Just been out flying mine, a Dragonfly, 2ch, fantastic fun, needs a bit of setting up, if its unbalanced its a git to fly! Its so much fun I've brought a few for xmas presents - only downer is they are all on the same frequency - anyone know of an easy way to change them - in noob terms plse :D

I am really tempted to get an RC helicopter for killing some time. Do you guys reccomend getting a cheap one first like the Picco Z, just to get used to the controls and flying , or go for a more expensive one (about £120).

cheers

The bigger expensive ones need a fair bit of indoor space to fly in and can take some getting used to. The Picco Z is more of a toy. Best thing to do is pop down your local model shop that sells planes/hellis and have a long chat.

The Picco thing only really flys round in circles and up and down.

I'm thinking of getting a collective pitch model as that seems a bit more realistic to a real helicopter. Apparently you can even fly it upside down and "land" it on the ceiling.
