So my wife got one of the 'new' sega megadrives which only has RCA out on it, is there a viable way to connect this to HDMI? Annoyingly my AV Amp wont output composite signals to HDMI and I've no way to get a composite to the TV.
Wait...could you clarify what speakers will you be using? Speakers that are connected to your AV amp, or built-in speakers of the TV?So my wife got one of the 'new' sega megadrives which only has RCA out on it, is there a viable way to connect this to HDMI? If you are using speakers with receiver for audio, surely you can just connect the RCA output of your console to you receiver, and set your receiver to have analog as input and you will have sound for your speakers?AV receiver, Don't think I've ever used the speakers on the telly!
Tv is wallmounted with cables chased into the wall, I only have HDMI's to the tv available to me hence the issue.
I've found a few converter kind of things and also what looks like just a hdmi cable with rca's on the other end. Kit varies wildly in prices too so I'm a little confused.
