The trial lasts for 6 months, and gives you unlimited, ad-free use of the streaming web service. Sadly, you can’t use the mobile apps or offline players, but really, who cares? 182 days of beautiful, free, streaming music. Although Spotify’s the big name in streaming music these days, Rdio provides a pretty damn good web player and mobile apps, with a music library to be pretty proud of — sure, it’s not quite as comprehensive as Spotify, but then again Spotify actually costs real monies and has no web player.

Seriously. Go get it. I just signed up, and it took me all of five minutes to register (no, you don’t have to give them any card details) and import my Spotify playlists. Give it a whirl. Whatchya got to lose?

Spotify does actually have a web player, or atleast it has an app on google chrome browser. I use it everyday! :) But awesome deal anyways!

I usually use grooveshark, but i'm giving this a go. Good so far, no complaints with the quality, seemingly better organised than grooveshark, have everything i've searched for. Nice design too. I guess the real test will be at the end of the six months, for £5/month (£10/month with mobile) it's the same price as Spotify.

EDIT: Although i don't like how it seems to randomly play something when whatever you tell it to play has finished.

my "Free Music" bar at the top is going down...surely it shouldn't be if this is supposed to be unlimited?

I was wondering this as well. By googling it seems that there's a limited number of tracks you can play per month, but it doesn't mention anything about a six month limit.

I guess that sort of answers that. The free version is available for six months, but you are limited in the number of songs you can listen to. Would be nice to know that number, but i am quite liking this service so far so we'll see where it goes.
