Can someone please tell me where i am going wrong. I am setting WHS2011 for the first time and trying to set up the Remote web access via the whs console.

I have set the ports 80 & 443 to forward to whs in my router but the console comes back saying the ports are not configured on the router.

Best asking in the network forum.

I'm stuck on the same issue as well, I've done the same as you. Is your network anything different ? All connected via LAN and not using any Homeplugs? Have you tried disabling any firewalls?
I assume you've got things sorted like static IP address and etc?

If all fails you can get Teamviewer installed and create a quick account, thats how I've done it for me so far. Cannot get RDS working for the live of me.

yeah have set all that up, not using any homeplugs just modem-router-2x PC, 2xLaptops ect.

I have also set up different ports on router & whs firewall but no success.

will just put VNC on there will be much easier.

What's your network mask? Your WHS looks like its outside the typical Class C you would find on most home networks.

Hi mate, guessing you mean subnet mask? ... if so it is 255.255.255.0
the only things i changed in this section are the router ip & ip addy range (1-15).

What's your routers IP address? If it's something like 192.168.1.1, then it won't be able to communicate with the server 192.168.10.8 with that subnet mask. You would need to put it on the 192.168.1.x range

my routers ip was set to 192.168.10.1, i have reset my router and only thing changed is the encryption key.

router ip now 192.168.1.1 and subnet mask is same.

Gonna have another try, hopefully will work.

Do i have to allow any ports through the firewall on the whs box?

have managed to get the RDP connection working from windows 7 but can not get the Remote web access working :(

Both ports are accessible as have used an online port checker.

have changed whs to the above ip and forwarded both ports to the ip address but still get "port forwarding is not set correctly on the router.

If i disable upnp i get the same error saying upnp is disabled.

Is there a way to set up via the whs console without upnp?

thanks for the help

Ignore this reply mate, whs console reports the router is unidentified and can not connect but thought i would try the domain set up and connected straight off, seems the problem is whs console not p/f.

many thanks for the help mcuh appreciated. :)
