Re-apply tim advice please

Noticed my cards starting to run a bit hotter lately. So presume its time to crack them open ,clean and re-apply tim.

So any advice on how to go about it and also what materials to use ?

I used mx-4.
I spread the tim using a card then applied another small blob and let the coolerspread the rest.
Your warranty will probably be voided

sounds like his warrenty is already over if it's time to open it up and see it in a different light

I use a shovel to apply mine!!

I re applied AS5 on my 3870 a few months back as the temps were much much higher then normal. I spreaded the as5 on the chip as thinly as possible, then when putting the heatsink back on, I pushed it on quite hard to get a good seal, before screwing the heatsink back down

When using AS5 I always spread it on the chip as thinly as possible, just incase it drips and fries my hardware.

So can i use the same material i use on the gpu to do the memory chips too
And yes warranty isnt an issue for me
