Re-install Vista after mobo change, or load Windows 7?

Hi

Just changed my mobo and gfx card to the specs below and I've been advised to re-install Vista to get rid of the old Asus files and settings and have a clean slate for the new system.

However, I have been tempted by this talk of Windows 7, so would I be better off just loading that straight on and removing Vista (and XP on dual boot)?

Thanks for any advice.

clean install of vista. Windows 7 is still only a beta so it is not fully supported (even though it works very well.) when the trial period runs out you will have to reinstall anyway.

if your tempted by 7 just get a second HDD and install it onto that

Yeah, go with Vista. Although the Windows 7 beta seems to run very smoothly, because it is only beta I doubt there will be much (if any) support for new hardware drivers in the future.

Thanks for the replies so far, would you dual boot vista / W7 or XP / W7?

I think I'm alone in liking Vista, but can still see there are improvements that could & should be made.

As i said if you wish to dabble dual boot or install 7 to a separate HDD.

I was concidering dual boot with XP a while back but had no reason to use it. Vista works fine for me
