Hey all,

Taking the plunge to an SSD, 120GB samsung. Basically I want to transfer my windows 7 64bit from my HDD to my SSD, just the windows, nothing else. I don't think I have the disk (currently tearing apart my house) Whats the best/ easiest way... if possible.

p.s. My current rig was bought from here as a gaming bundle, would the windows disks of come with? If so, then they are 100% around...

Do you have your serial number? If not use magic jelly bean finder

You could simply download the ISO, unplug all drives except the new one, install and bobs your uncle. For the love of god don't reinstall with all drives connected, just not worth the hassle :D

I was wondering the same thing.
I know you can't just copy over the drive contents as it won't capture everything and won't be recognised as a boot drive, or somesuch, but there is an app which lets you copy the complete image to the SSD.
I don't know the name of the app I'm afraid, but perhaps someone here can assist?

Once copied to the SSD, you should be able to clean off the HDD and stock it up with files.

Even with the serial number, I need the disks?
