Your question raises more questions which you might easily have anticipated.
Have you ever had the OS on a CD.
If you’ve had a CD and lost it then replacing it could be expensive if not impossible.
You may have to buy a new copy.
If a PC was it pre-built – off the shelf.
If pre-built or a Laptop it may not have come with the OS on a CD but you may have a recovery partition on the HD.
Your documentation should refer to this.
People will help you if they can but you have to at least meet them half way - provide some information.
