Here is my list of Gold software. This is the software that I consider to be the best of the best, after trialling the rest. I am open minded, so could waiver and change my mind. However, these are the Gold Awards...

Defrag -> Gold : O&O Defrag Pro (Silver : Diskkeepr)

Browser -> Gold : Opera (Silver : Firefox)

Media Player -> Gold : iTunes (Silver : Windows Media Player)

Image Editing -> Gold : Adobe Photoshop (Silver : The Gimp)

Nice list. I agree with a fair amount of that. No bronze awards though? :(

I'd say Firefox was gold browser for me with Opera silver though. I did try Opera but it failed in some key areas for me so I went back to the FF. What about your email client? Thunderbird is my gold award. I don't even have a silver award. Outlook Express was crap when I last used it. Outlook was pretty decent I have to say when I used it at work.

And no Winamp or VLC?! :eek: The gods will be very upset!!! ;)
