I would contact them mate.
I have had Gigabyte GPUs and repasted them, but needed to RMA and they where fine with it.
Is there a warrenty sticker of any of the screws? If not, you should be ok providing you mount the cooler properly again.

Unless there running particularly hot I wouldn't bother.
I have never bothered doing any of mine when on air.
It is only when I fit waterblocks that it is time to get the paste out.

Pretty much what Kaap said, not worth the hassle for what will only be a small drop on average.
What temps are you currently getting? And in all likelyhood you may only need to repaste the top card as it will always run hottest in an air cooled sli setup. For example, my top gtx 780 can get as high as 80c, bottom one has never been over 65c. Due to non reference coolers in a motherboard with a one slot gap.

Just wondered why you would choose mx4 over ICD and whats wrong with using it on a gpu?
