Hey
Is there a way to rescan games on uplay after completely uninstalling it/ formatting system ?
I have the fully downloaded games (In their proper folders with all the files, not the UPLAY's installation ones) and whenever I put the games in the UPLAY's games directory they do not become detected whereas if I done this sort of thing on steam or origin they would become detected straight away.

Dont know if im posting this in the right section.

P.S. I even created a support ticket with ubisoft but OF COURSE hah... they didnt answer, and it has now been around 3 weeks since i made the ticket...

AND I do not want to re- download the games as it would be over a 60GB download .....
Answers would be welcome :)

If it's anything like Origin, you move the files elsewhere, then start downloading everything, pause it and shut down the client, then copy the files back in and when you restart the client the download finishes instantly.

If you just click on the games .exe in explorer it should start uplay and then the game itself at least it does for me.

Don't do this, it'll want to download the whole lot again

I HATE uPlay for this, and Origin, pain...

I recently had to redownload Blacklist, even though I uninstalled it and asked to save game data. Uplay over wrote it and now I'm back to square one... Again. It's taking me ages to complete simply because uPlay is ****.

That's the point, you start the downloads so the client is aware of the installation locations, then you close the client and copy in all the game files you have backed up.
