I *think* my gfx is knackered but is it possible to use the second socket on an sli mobo for my prinary gfx card? It could be the pci-e socket is screwed:confused:

I think you can run cards in the secondary slots, just on some they will run at a lower speed, like 8x/4x, but i don't think it matters for that board, as both blue slots are 16x. :)

As above that board is 16x for each of the PCIe slots :)

Loadsa the board is named P5N32-SLI for a reason ;)

So even though i have one gfx card it will work in the secondary? I just want to see test if its my graphics card or mobo socket thats giving me screwy graphics:)

yea it will its only 3 way sli where it cuts down to 8x PCIE

You should be fine to see if its the socket.

I run my old gfx in my 3rd socket on my mobo so i can have more monitors and works fine at 16x
