For a richer sound than the M35is (which is what I am using at the moment) you are going to be looking at some Dynaudio Audience 62s or similar, which you should just about be able to get in budget second hand.

They are ridiculously hard to drive though and your amp may not have the power supply to cope with the load. You would have to go and hear a newer pair of the Dyns in a shop using something meaty and then compare that to your current amp.

Having said that, the M35is present a load of about 3.5ohms at their most demanding. I find my speakers to be a lovely sound (not too far from a pair of Focus 140s that I nearly bought over them) so it might well be your amplification that is letting them down. I know my 2805 wasnt a patch on my power amp at anything past moderate volumes.

going to town in the morning going to listen to Dynaudio Audience 62s
wife has said i can have a brand new pair wont be buying them in hull though will cost a lot more
so online deal save abt £119 or so

i think you'd be better off looking at changing your amplification as drz said, your speakers are very capable but your amp lacking the punch.

Dynaudio's tend to be 4 ohm, and need loads of power and control... Wouldn't want to use the bigger floor standers with an AV Receiver !! Make sure you try them with your own amp to check compatibility. You current ones at 92db are very sensitive and would require little power for a good volume, and easy to drive.
What front end do you have ?... I'd check the CD player out first, may be a lead change, then a better amps, then see what speakers suit you. Most half descent speaker fed with a really good signal blow most people away !!! Speakers are "slaves" they do as there told !!

Im soooooo confused, is this Denon AVR-4306 the same one im thinking of ? £1,500 job with 7x130w, upscales to 1080p via HDMI, ethernet streaming etc etc ?
If its the same amp are you using it as just a stereo amp or as a 7.1 AV amp ?
If its the former then why have you bought this amp in the first place, but if its the latter then why are you just replacing the front two speakers ?
Also what speaker cable are you using, id try using a speaker cable that gives a warmer sound before replacing anything.
