Re-Submitting a site to google

I had a website that was being indexed in google quite nicely, then due to a hosting screw up the site went down for a couple of months, which seemed to then knock it out of google's indexing list.

Someone told me that rather than submitting the site to google again, the best thing to do is submit a "re-inclusion request".

anyone know how I go about that?

Thanks Growse, I just found it shortly after posting this, have signed up for the webmaster tools and have re-included my site.

so if you do a search for your domain name in google, it doesnt bring it up?
