Ive been out of the loop for some time when it comes tom PC's so i could do with some advice.

Ive Got an old gaming PC from about 5 or 6 years back that I don't use anymore with a suspected duff main board and Ive been thinking about a small media pc to hook up to my TV in the living room for a while.

Spec:
intel core duo E6600
Gigabyte DS4 ATX mobo (think its knackered)
4gb DDR2 ram
Nivida 8800gts
2x sata 80gb HD (raid 1)
1x sata 300gb HD
500w enermax Psu

Will any of this lot be of any use as I really want something that's going to be significantly smaller than the big ass coolermaster case it's currently in?

It really is only going to be used for playing DVDs and streaming video/music from my NAS drive and maybe a bit of web browsing.

Answers on a postcard :D

Guessing your TV is HDMI in which case a raspberry PI would do the job with an external DVD drive for about £60.

If you want to keep the bits then put them in a mini itx case then either add a HD5450 for HDMI out as i don't think the 8800gts has it.

There's no 775 itx mobo's on OCUK but a quick google will find you a DG41AN for about £60 then add the items below, incuded 2 ram choices to illustrate the cost difference for an extra 4Gb that you may or not need.

YOUR BASKET
1 x Cooler Master Elite 120 Advanced Mini-ITX Case - Black £35.99
1 x GeIL Black Dragon 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-10666C9 1333MHz Dual Channel Kit (GD38GB1333C9DC) £29.99
1 x OcUK Value 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-10666C9 1333MHz Low-Voltage Dual Channel Kit £19.99
