Hello

I am getting this system delivered to me soon http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-032-OK and I am just wondering what operating system yous would recommend to use for the system in question.

Previously I was using Windows XP Professional 32bit, but that was with a 5 year old machine with 1gb of ram.

I know people say XP is better for gaming, but with a 4870 and all those DX10 games, it would be a shame not to go with vista with such a powerful PC

Edit: sorry i am assuming you play games as you have bought a powerhouse

Vista HP 64Bit, been using this for the past year and a bit and only problem I had was with Itunes part from that fairly pleased with Vista.

Vista Home Premium

Deffo for the DirectX 10

Plus with 4Gb Ram it will be just like running XP m8

Server 2008 tweaked for a workstation is essentially Vista and can be got for free (dream spark). Run s a lot better on my system as it uses less ram.

do you use remote desktop? & or use domains?

if so, get vista business / ultimate

also get 64bit
