Never been a fan of RE games and never really looked at that kind of genre before. Decided to buy it as it got good reviews, looked liked a well made, well polished and pretty game. Also to show the anti-Nintendo fanboys there are excellent adult games for the Wii.

At first I was a bit hesitant, took half an hour to get used to the controls, another half hour to finally realise that it is actually pretty cool having to stop to shoot, another half hour to realise that always running out of ammo is not frustrating- it adds tension.

The story is fairly immersive and not too linear. You tend to follow the prescribed route etc but this doesn't really bother me as t really plays out like a movie. Some of the special effects and cinematography are excellent. The game is very atmospheric and you quickly get drawn into that world.

I now can't leave it alone. I have so much work to do and planning of vacation etc, but I am just playing RE4 for hours.

The control system works perfectly. Nothing better than lining up head shots.

Now a remake designed for nthe Wii with higher res textures please.

I've gone back to the GC version on my Wii. Would like the Wii edition, but can't afford/justify it :(

RE4 was awesome for the wii. I played it through start to finish as soon as it came through my door pretty much! I'm leaving the unlocked episodes for later though! :)

For all the stick the Wii gets for graphics I thought it looked really good on my LCD.

I didnt like stopping to shoot.

Talking to others I think I had a controller problem because at times I was getting stuck on stuff and would spin round in 360's after making an input on the nunchuck.

I've seen it for £22 now so I might give it another try.

Try changing the position of the sensor in your setup too, I originally had mine under the tv (had it set up as under the tv in the wii settings too) but found it caused issues, mostly due to my coffee table! So I put it on top of the tv and not had any probs since. Make sure you remember to change the settings in the wii too if you do move it!

danny, that happens to me when very strong direct sunlight is on the sensor on the Wiimote.

That could be it, my wife was playing it and kept moaning about it. I said in a patronising voice "give me the bloody controller" Then felt the shame when it did the same to me :(

I will try it again, thanks Kreeeee

Funnily enough I checked out the trailer for RE5 last night.. blown away :D

If I had a Wii I'd get RE4 without a doubt.

No problem, also go to adjust the sensitivity and make sure you are only picking up 2 dots and from the correct source. 4 dots means there is a reflection of the IR LEDs causing problems.

Agreed. Sunlight completely screws the wiimote up - on a sunny day with the blinds open the Wii is unplayable in my lounge.

yeah, im really into this at the moment,

After Zelda, i didnt touch the Wii for ages, but RE4 really is a great game.

my girlfriend wont let me play it until she is sat watching me, lol, she loves it too
