Hey guys I'm having an annoying problem, I recently did a bios update and cocked the whole thing up so I had to format and reinstall my whole system again but after trying to activating windows I was told I reached the limit of activations for this code and I need to purchase another ,
I don't get it ive had the disc and code over 5 years and done many many reinstall (god darn virus's) and no probs .
I would rather not go through the grief of calling MS but I just don't know what else to do.
Any tips would be appreciated.

Just select activate by phone, you probably won't even have to talk to anyone, it's all automated. seems to take aaages though, "please enter the 127th set of numbers now" and all that crap.

it allows so many minor changes per year so you prob been lucky when you've made them. just phone them up and activate, they dont seem to care

Just phone them, it's an easy automated system and it's so easy to do. They'll happily reactivate you. You can activate as many times as you like but after a certain time you'll have to activate by phone. What kind of license do you hold, is it OEM or retail? :)

its Just my opinion on my experiances which are its slow , half my software wont work my scanner doesnt work my games tend to crash and I find it just a little over complicated compared to XP .:p

But hey if Vista floats ya boat then thats all that matters .;)

I have no idea I lost the paperwork a longtime ago and im using a backup of my original disk which got damaged (lucky i made a backup) recently.
