I was looking around for an extra hard drive for my system when I realised it has an M.2 slot.
mobo : ReAct MSI Z97
I know there are a few different types of M.2 SSD's :
https://www.overclockers.co.uk/pc-components/storage/ssd-solid-state/m.2
but they all have different connections..
i am wondering exactly what type of connection i need for my motherboard, i just can't seem to figure it out.
i did find this on the msi website for the motherboard :
1x 2280 key m(pcie gen2 x2/sata)
there are a few " 2280 " ssd's on the overclockers webpage but they all have different connections, does this really matter as long as it's " 2280 " will it work ??
there is this one :
https://www.overclockers.co.uk/inte...id-state-drive-ssdpekkw256g7x1-hd-087-in.html
and then there is this one :
https://www.overclockers.co.uk/cruc...lid-state-drive-ct275mx300ssd4-hd-066-cr.html
Is it the " PCI-E " that matters ?
Thanks for any help
