Being "review bombed" due to having to tone down some of it's content in order to meet stricter classification standards on consoles. Because it's crossplay they have to make the same changes to the PC version - which has been around for ages. I can see why they are disappointed.

According to the developers it's not noticeable. I don't care, I pre-ordered anyway. Looks amazing and right up my street. Haven't really played anything like this since Rainbow Six 3 on the OG Xbox more than 20 years ago which is some of my all time favourite gaming memories. Looks like there is tons of content inc 20 odd single player or coop missions.

Release date worldwide is 15th July everywhere I look however ordered a physical copy from my local retailer for click and collect but its telling me the order won't be ready until 8th August

Anyone else got an eye on this?

I saw the early access pc videos and while ago but I no longer pay Sony to be able to play games, so I will miss out.

Developers have responded to criticism, here https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/1144200/view/526472884483263337

I find this whole thing interesting. Its been on PC for two years or so. On the one hand the game, which people have paid for, has changed and faced censorship which they didn't ask for or have any choice in. Yes it's pretty minor when you look at the link above but could well be the start of a slippery slope and PC gamers are angry at the devs. On the other hand there’s likely something wrong with you if you get upset at the levels of nudity that have been removed and you probably need your hardrive checked by authorities. If you love the game that much then you should be happy the developer is putting it out to a wider audience, increasing revenue and with that the chances of improving it, building on it and releasing further good games.
I suppose there could have been an option to keep the PC version as it was and just censor the console version but then that would take the corssplay option away. I don't feel like having the option to play with PC players is that big of a deal, it's certainly not something I would look for. I usually turn it off anyway as I think they cheat :D

Haven’t really seen the extent of the changes but I’ve put a few hours into the game.
Friends and I have S ranked the levels together. Which is hard because you have to not kill or accidentally hurt suspects etc.
These suspects are the dregs of humanity and some are disgusting human beings. This adds to the feeling of the game, the stuff you see and what they’re upto spurs you on. So hopefully they haven’t changed this.

If the only changes are what's shown in the link above, then PC players moaning about it, really need to reassess their life decisions lol

It's excellent on PC, a friend and I started playing it just as the early access ended. There's been a decent number of DLC missions added which hopefully continues as it gives the game plenty of replayability.

The cries of censorship are absolute nonsense, it's a few small changes to enable certification on consoles and ensure a consistent experience across all platforms. The people replying to that Steam post above are acting like the entire game has been rewritten and the gameplay completely scaled back.

What is more surprising is that games are sold on PC platform without having to go through the same rating process.

These changes are minor and realistically someone will be able to mod them back in for those most bothered about it.
