Hi Folks,
I have just upgraded my pc and I'm looking to squeeze a little more power out of it while keeping it stable! My spec is as follows;
Q6600 g0 @ 2.4ghz
Arctic Cooler
Asus p5n-e SLI
4gb Ocz platinum ddr2 6400
7800gtx x2 SLI
Coolermaster 620w modular
Raptor hdd's
akasa eclipse case (great cooling)
I would like to squeeze about 3.0ghz out of it if possible? My temperature for the CPU is low 30's ok a 1.25 vcore.
Is it just a case of increasing the FSB and upping the vcore upon a crash? Do I leave the memory Fsb unlinked with the CPU or should the be increasing together?
I assume I'm just aiming for fsb1333 to give 3.0ghz but as I'm sure you can tell things have changed a little since I overclocked my athlon xp 2500 to 3200 speeds.
Any help would be appreciated!
thanks
