Gaming - Dell U2312HM (60Hz) or Planar SA2311W (120Hz)
So, for gaming needs I just need a simple 23inch 1080p monitor, nice colours, fast response time etc. I've been looking at this one, and it seems to be getting good reviews everywhere, except I've heard a few complaints about the 'frosty' coating on the screen itself. Can anyone confirm if this is as bad as it's said to be?
Also, I was looking into this. Pretty much the same story, getting a lot of praise etc. only this one is 120Hz, which has me wanting to ask a question. I don't have a Sli setup, and don't plan on ever going Sli, but am I mistaken for thinking that because the refresh rate is twice as fast on this monitor, that running a game at 40-60 frames per second will still be a smoother experience than it is on a 60Hz monitor?
If anyone can shed any light on the above (bolded) questions, I'd really appreciate it!
